Is it wrong to be queer in Islam?
You are part of what God intended when he made humanity varied: the Qur’an says he “made you into peoples and tribes so that you might come to know one another” (49:13), and the only rank that counts there is being “the most mindful of him”. Difference itself is named as one of God’s signs, “the diversity of your languages and colors” (30:22), so being unlike the people around you belongs to that same design. The Qur’an adds that had God willed “he would have made you one community”, and instead asks each of us to “race toward what is good” (5:48); your place among believers is measured by that race. Who you are draws no blame, since “no bearer of burdens bears the burden of another” (6:164); every soul is asked about its own deeds alone. Wherever you stand today, God says of those who ask about him, “indeed, I am near” (2:186), and that includes you.
