Loneliness arrives quietly. It sits with you after the messages stop, in a room full of people, on the long walk home. The Qur'an speaks to this exact ache, and it answers with a single promise repeated in many voices: you are seen, and you are heard.
These verses gather around the nearness of God, who describes Himself as closer than the jugular vein and present wherever you go. Read them slowly when the silence feels heavy. They will not crowd the room with noise, yet they offer the companionship the heart was made for.
50:16 — Indeed, we created the human being, and we know what his lower self whispers to him — and we are closer to him than his jugular vein.
2:186 — When my servants ask you about me — indeed, I am near. I answer the call of the one who calls when they call on me. So let them answer me, and let them believe in me, that they may be rightly guided.
57:4 — It is he who created the heavens and the earth in six days, then settled upon the throne. He knows what enters the earth and what emerges from it, what descends from the sky and what ascends through it. And he is with you wherever you are. God sees all that you do.
9:40 — If you do not help him, God has already helped him — when those who denied drove him out, the second of two, when the two of them were in the cave, when he said to his companion, "Do not grieve; God is with us." Then God sent down his tranquility upon him and supported him with forces you did not see, and brought the word of those who denied to the lowest, while the word of God is the highest. And God is mighty, wise.
93:3 — your Lord has not forsaken you, nor is he displeased.
12:86 — He said, "I bring my anguish and my sorrow to God alone, and I know from God what you do not know.
20:46 — God said, "Do not be afraid. I am with you both — I hear and I see."
65:3 — and will provide for them from where they did not expect. Whoever places their trust in God — he is enough for them. Indeed, God brings his purpose to pass; God has set a measure for everything.
