Surah Ash-Sharh — الشرح

Chapter 94 of the Qur'an · “The Relief” · 8 verses · revealed in Makkah

1. 94:1 أَلَمْ نَشْرَحْ لَكَ صَدْرَكَ Did we not open your heart for you,
2. 94:2 وَوَضَعْنَا عَنكَ وِزْرَكَ and lifted from you your burden,
3. 94:3 ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنقَضَ ظَهْرَكَ the burden that weighed down your back,
4. 94:4 وَرَفَعْنَا لَكَ ذِكْرَكَ and raised your renown high?
5. 94:5 فَإِنَّ مَعَ ٱلْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا So, truly, with hardship comes ease.
6. 94:6 إِنَّ مَعَ ٱلْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا indeed, with hardship comes ease.
7. 94:7 فَإِذَا فَرَغْتَ فَٱنصَبْ So when you are free, labor on,
8. 94:8 وَإِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ فَٱرْغَب and to your Lord turn with longing.
