أَيَحْسَبُ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ أَلَّن نَّجْمَعَ عِظَامَهُۥ
Ayahsabul insaanu al lan najm'a 'izaamah
Does the human being suppose that we will not gather his bones together?
The surah puts this question twice, once here and once in its closing lines, where what is doubted has moved from the bones to whether a person is left to no purpose at all. Between the two the argument stays on the body, since that is the ground the objection chose. Ḥasiba names a reckoning made inwardly and never tested, which is what the question exposes.
