Surah At-Taghabun —

Chapter 64 of the Qur'an · “The Mutual Disillusion” · 18 verses · revealed in Madinah

All that is in the heavens and all that is on the earth glorifies God. To him belongs sovereignty, and to him belongs all praise, and he has power over all things.
It is he who created you: among you is one who denies and among you is one who believes, and God sees all that you do.
God created the heavens and the earth in truth, and shaped you and made your forms beautiful — and to him is the return.
God knows what is in the heavens and the earth, and he knows what you conceal and what you make known. And God knows what lies within the heart.
Has the story not reached you of those who denied before? They tasted the bitter consequence of their conduct, and a painful punishment awaits them.
That is because their messengers kept coming to them with clear proofs, but they said, "Are mere humans to guide us?" — so they denied and turned away. And God had no need of them; God is self-sufficient, worthy of all praise.
Those who deny claim they will never be raised again. Say: yes indeed, by my Lord, you will surely be raised, and then you will be informed of what you did. That is easy for God.
So believe in God, in his Messenger, and in the light we have sent down. God is fully aware of what you do.
The day he gathers you for the day of assembly — that is the day of mutual loss. Whoever believes in God and does what is right, he will absolve them of their wrongs and admit them into gardens through which rivers flow, to remain there forever. That is the supreme triumph.
But those who denied and rejected our signs — they are the companions of the fire, remaining there forever. What a wretched destination.
No misfortune strikes except by God's permission. Whoever believes in God, he guides their heart. And God knows all things.
Obey God and obey the Messenger. If you turn away, our Messenger's only duty is to deliver the message clearly.
God — there is no god but he. In God let the believers place their trust.
You who believe, among your spouses and your children are enemies to you, so be wary of them. But if you pardon, overlook, and forgive — then God is forgiving and merciful.
Your wealth and your children are only a trial, and with God is a great reward.
So be mindful of God as much as you are able, and listen, and obey, and give — it is better for your souls. Whoever is guarded against the greed of their own self, those are the ones who succeed.
If you lend to God a beautiful loan, he will multiply it for you and forgive you. God is deeply appreciative, forbearing,
Knower of the unseen and the seen, the Almighty, the Wise.
