أَمْ لَهُ ٱلْبَنَـٰتُ وَلَكُمُ ٱلْبَنُونَ
Am lahul banaatu wa lakumul banoon
Or does God have daughters while you have sons?
This sits inside a run of a dozen questions each beginning with am, a cross-examination that eliminates one position after another until nothing is left to stand on. The argument works from the questioners' own scale of value: they assigned daughters to God while keeping sons for themselves, so the claim convicts itself before any theology is brought against it. Surah 53 presses the same point in almost the same words.
