فَلَا يَحْزُنكَ قَوْلُهُمْ ۘ إِنَّا نَعْلَمُ مَا يُسِرُّونَ وَمَا يُعْلِنُونَ
Falaa yahzunka qawluhum; innaa na'lamu maa yusirroona wa maa yu'linoon
So do not let their words grieve you. Indeed, we know what they conceal and what they declare.
Consolation here rests on what is known rather than on what is answered. The grief comes from their speech, and the reply reaches past speech to what they keep hidden alongside what they say aloud, a paired formula the corpus uses to name the whole of what a person holds.
