وَأَنَا ٱخْتَرْتُكَ فَٱسْتَمِعْ لِمَا يُوحَىٰٓ
Wa anakhtartuka fastami' limaa yoohaa
And I have chosen you, so listen to what is being revealed.
Musa went out for a brand of fire or for directions, and what he is given is neither. Three first-person declarations arrive one after another: your Lord, then the choosing, then the name itself. The election sits in the middle, told to him before the speaker has said what he is called, and the one thing asked of him in this line is to listen.
