Surah Al-Fil — الفيل

Chapter 105 of the Qur'an · “The Elephant” · 5 verses · revealed in Makkah

105:1 أَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِأَصْحَـٰبِ ٱلْفِيلِ Have you not seen how your Lord dealt with the people of the elephant?
105:2 أَلَمْ يَجْعَلْ كَيْدَهُمْ فِى تَضْلِيلٍ Did he not turn their scheme astray?
105:3 وَأَرْسَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ طَيْرًا أَبَابِيلَ And he sent against them flocks of birds,
105:4 تَرْمِيهِم بِحِجَارَةٍ مِّن سِجِّيلٍ pelting them with stones of baked clay,
105:5 فَجَعَلَهُمْ كَعَصْفٍ مَّأْكُولٍۭ and left them like chewed-up straw.
