Surah At-Takathur — التكاثر

Chapter 102 of the Qur'an · “The Rivalry in world increase” · 8 verses · revealed in Makkah

1. 102:1 أَلْهَىٰكُمُ ٱلتَّكَاثُرُ The race for more has distracted you,
2. 102:2 حَتَّىٰ زُرْتُمُ ٱلْمَقَابِرَ until you visit the graves.
3. 102:3 كَلَّا سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ No! You will come to know.
4. 102:4 ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ Again, no — you will come to know.
5. 102:5 كَلَّا لَوْ تَعْلَمُونَ عِلْمَ ٱلْيَقِينِ No indeed! If only you knew with the knowledge of certainty.
6. 102:6 لَتَرَوُنَّ ٱلْجَحِيمَ you will surely see jahim,
7. 102:7 ثُمَّ لَتَرَوُنَّهَا عَيْنَ ٱلْيَقِينِ Then you will see it with the eye of certainty.
8. 102:8 ثُمَّ لَتُسْـَٔلُنَّ يَوْمَئِذٍ عَنِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ Then, on that day, you will be questioned about the comforts you enjoyed.
