Surah Luqman — 31:34

Innal laaha 'indahoo 'ilmus saa'ati wa yunazzilul ghaisa wa ya'lamu maa fil arhaami wa maa tadree nafsum maazaa takisbu ghadaa; wa maa tadree nafsum bi ayyi ardin tamoot; innal laaha 'Aleemun Khabeer

Zaprawdę, Bóg jest Wszechwiedzący, w pełni Świadomy!

Indeed, with God is the knowledge of the hour. He sends down the rain, and he knows what is in the wombs. No soul knows what it will earn tomorrow, and no soul knows in what land it will die. Indeed, God is all-knowing, all-aware.

Reflection

The list narrows as it goes. It opens at the largest possible scale, the hour, then comes down through rain and the contents of a womb to two things belonging to the reader alone: what tomorrow will earn and where death will happen. That last item names a place rather than a date, which is the stranger of the two and the one people less often think to ask about.
