Surah Al-Qiyamah — 75:16

لَا تُحَرِّكْ بِهِۦ لِسَانَكَ لِتَعْجَلَ بِهِۦٓ

Laa tuharrik bihee lisaa naka lita'jala bih

[Prophet], do not rush your tongue in an attempt to hasten [your memorization of] the Revelation:

Do not move your tongue with it to hasten it.

Reflection

Four verses addressed to the Prophet sit inside a passage otherwise about resurrection, and the seam is the point. The verb here, from ʿ-j-l, is the same root that names what people love four verses later, the thing that comes quickly. Haste in securing revelation and haste for a passing world are labelled with one word, which is why commentators read this instruction, given while revelation was arriving, as belonging where it stands.
