Surah At-Takathur — التكاثر

Chapter 102 of the Qur'an · “The Rivalry in world increase” · 8 verses · revealed in Makkah

1. 102:1 أَلْهَىٰكُمُ ٱلتَّكَاثُرُ Striving for more distracts you
2. 102:2 حَتَّىٰ زُرْتُمُ ٱلْمَقَابِرَ until you go into your graves.
3. 102:3 كَلَّا سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ No indeed! You will come to know.
4. 102:4 ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ No indeed! In the end you will come to know.
5. 102:5 كَلَّا لَوْ تَعْلَمُونَ عِلْمَ ٱلْيَقِينِ No indeed! If only you knew for certain.
6. 102:6 لَتَرَوُنَّ ٱلْجَحِيمَ You will most definitely see Hellfire,
7. 102:7 ثُمَّ لَتَرَوُنَّهَا عَيْنَ ٱلْيَقِينِ you will see it with the eye of certainty.
8. 102:8 ثُمَّ لَتُسْـَٔلُنَّ يَوْمَئِذٍ عَنِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ On that Day, you will be asked about your pleasures.
