وَقُلْنَا يَـٰٓـَٔادَمُ ٱسْكُنْ أَنتَ وَزَوْجُكَ ٱلْجَنَّةَ وَكُلَا مِنْهَا رَغَدًا حَيْثُ شِئْتُمَا وَلَا تَقْرَبَا هَـٰذِهِ ٱلشَّجَرَةَ فَتَكُونَا مِنَ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ
Wa qulnaa yaaa Aadamus kun anta wa zawjukal jannata wa kulaa minhaa raghadan haisu shi'tumaa wa laa taqabaa haazihish shajarata fatakoonaa minaz zaalimeen
And we said, "Adam, dwell — you and your wife — in the garden. Eat freely from it, wherever you wish, but do not approach this tree, or you will both be among the wrongdoers."
منح الله آدم وزوجته الإقامة في الجنة مع رزق وافر وحرية، لكن مع نهي واحد. هذا الاختبار للطاعة من خلال أمر بسيط كان سيحدد استمرار إقامتهما في الجنة.
