۞ وَأَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰٓ أَنْ أَلْقِ عَصَاكَ ۖ فَإِذَا هِىَ تَلْقَفُ مَا يَأْفِكُونَ
Wa awhainaaa ilaa Moosaaa an alqi 'asaaka fa izaa hiya talqafu maa yaafikoon
(اس وقت) ہم نے موسیٰ کی طرف وحی بھیجی کہ تم بھی اپنی لاٹھی ڈال دو۔ وہ فوراً (سانپ بن کر) جادوگروں کے بنائے ہوئے سانپوں کو (ایک ایک کرکے) نگل جائے گی
And we inspired Musa: "Throw your staff." At once, it swallowed up what they had faked.

One verb covers both throws, theirs and Musa's, which puts the contest on identical terms and leaves the difference in who gave the order. The Arabic marks the swallowing with its particle for something happening abruptly in front of you.
