ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ سَبْعَ سَمَـٰوَٰتٍ وَمِنَ ٱلْأَرْضِ مِثْلَهُنَّ يَتَنَزَّلُ ٱلْأَمْرُ بَيْنَهُنَّ لِتَعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ قَدْ أَحَاطَ بِكُلِّ شَىْءٍ عِلْمًۢا
Allaahul lazee khalaq Sab'a Samaawaatinw wa minal ardi mislahunna yatanazzalul amru bainahunna lita'lamooo annal laaha 'alaa kulli shai'in Qadeerunw wa annal laaha qad ahaata bikulli shai'in ilmaa
خدا ہی تو ہے جس نے سات آسمان پیدا کئے اور ایسی ہی زمینیں۔ ان میں (خدا کے) حکم اُترتے رہتے ہیں تاکہ تم لوگ جان لو کہ خدا چیز پر قادر ہے۔ اور یہ کہ خدا اپنے علم سے ہر چیز پر احاطہ کئے ہوئے ہے
It is God who created seven heavens, and of the earth the like of them. The command descends among them, so that you may know that God has power over all things, and that God encompasses all things in knowledge.
Surah al-Talaq spends itself on domestic particulars, waiting periods, housing, maintenance, what a man owes a woman he is releasing, and then closes at the scale of seven heavens. The placement carries the argument: the knowledge that encompasses everything is the knowledge attending one household. Commentators have differed over what the earths matching them are, and the verse itself leaves that unspecified.
