وَٱلنَّخْلَ بَاسِقَـٰتٍ لَّهَا طَلْعٌ نَّضِيدٌ
Wannakhla baasiqaatil laha tal'un nadeed
اور لمبی لمبی کھجوریں جن کا گابھا تہہ بہ تہہ ہوتا ہے
and the towering date-palms with their tiered clusters,
This sits inside an argument about resurrection: the sky, the earth, the rain and the growing things are being offered as evidence, and the passage closes by naming the reviving of dead ground as the pattern of the rising. Bāsiqāt means tall and reaching upward, and naḍīd describes the spathes stacked in tight rows, which is close observation of how a date palm fruits.
