فَأَلْقَىٰ مُوسَىٰ عَصَاهُ فَإِذَا هِىَ تَلْقَفُ مَا يَأْفِكُونَ
Fa alqaa Moosaa 'asaahu fa izaa hiya talqafu maa yaafikoon
پھر موسیٰ نے اپنی لاٹھی ڈالی تو وہ ان چیزوں کو جو جادوگروں نے بنائی تھیں یکایک نگلنے لگی
Then Musa threw his staff, and at once it swallowed up their deceptions.
The staff swallows what the magicians were faking, ifk in the Arabic, and the ropes and staffs themselves go unmentioned. Arabic slips into the present tense at that moment, so the line stops reporting the contest and starts showing it. The magicians were professionals, which is why they were the first in that crowd to understand what they had watched, and they went down in prostration before Pharaoh could speak.
