ٱلَّذِينَ تَتَوَفَّىٰهُمُ ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ طَيِّبِينَ ۙ يَقُولُونَ سَلَـٰمٌ عَلَيْكُمُ ٱدْخُلُوا۟ ٱلْجَنَّةَ بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
Allazeena tatawaf faahumul malaaa'ikatu taiyibeena yaqooloona salaamun 'alai kumud khulul Jannata bimaa kuntum ta'maloon
(ان کی کیفیت یہ ہے کہ) جب فرشتے ان کی جانیں نکالنے لگتے ہیں اور یہ (کفر وشرک سے) پاک ہوتے ہیں تو سلام علیکم کہتے ہیں (اور کہتے ہیں کہ) جو عمل تم کیا کرتے تھے ان کے بدلے میں بہشت میں داخل ہوجاؤ
those whom the angels take in death while they are in a state of goodness. The angels say, "Peace be upon you. Enter the garden for what you used to do."
Four verses earlier the same clause opens a sentence about people the angels take while they are wronging themselves, and only the final word differs: there ẓālimī anfusihim, here ṭayyibīn. Both groups also meet the root s-l-m, the first casting down their surrender at the end and not being believed, these met with peace. The closing phrase about their deeds is identical too, standing once as the charge and once as the warrant to enter.
