سَلَـٰمٌ عَلَيْكُم بِمَا صَبَرْتُمْ ۚ فَنِعْمَ عُقْبَى ٱلدَّارِ
Salaamun 'alaikum bimaa sabartum; fani'ma 'uqbad daar
(اور کہیں گے) تم پر رحمت ہو (یہ) تمہاری ثابت قدمی کا بدلہ ہے اور عاقبت کا گھر خوب (گھر) ہے
"Peace be upon you for your patient endurance. How excellent is this final home!"
The greeting comes from the angels, arriving through every gate of the garden, and what they name in it is patience. The list two verses earlier held several things at once, prayer kept, giving done in secret and in the open, harm met with good, and the angels single out the endurance that ran underneath all of them. That endurance was qualified there as a seeking of God's face, so it carries a direction rather than mere waiting.
