وَلَسَوْفَ يُعْطِيكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرْضَىٰٓ
Wa la sawfa y'uteeka rabbuka fatarda
Rabbin şüphesiz sana verecek ve sen de hoşnut olacaksın.
And your Lord will surely give to you, and you will be content.
Sawfa is the particle for a future held at some distance, and the emphatic lam placed before it makes the promise certain while leaving its date open. What settles the promise is the hearer's own contentment, and the same verb closes an instruction to be patient at 20:130. Early readers differed over what the giving refers to — the hereafter, or something granted for the community.
