يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ مَا غَرَّكَ بِرَبِّكَ ٱلْكَرِيمِ
Yaaa ayyuhal insaaanu maa gharraka bi Rabbikal kareem
Ey insanoğlu! Seni yaratıp sonra şekil veren, düzenleyen, mütenasip kılan, istediği şekilde seni terkip eden, çok cömert olan Rabbine karşı seni aldatan nedir?
O human being, what has deceived you about your Lord, the Most Generous,
The name chosen inside the question does the work: generosity is what lets a person grow careless, since a Lord who withholds nothing gives no daily evidence of displeasure. Early commentators read the address as a rebuke and also as an opening, since it arrives as a question rather than a sentence. Note the shift from the previous verse, which speaks of every soul, to a single person addressed directly.
