Surah An-Naba — 78:39

ذَٰلِكَ ٱلْيَوْمُ ٱلْحَقُّ ۖ فَمَن شَآءَ ٱتَّخَذَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِۦ مَـَٔابًا

Zaalikal yaumul haqqu faman shaa-at ta khaaza ill-laa rabbihi ma-aaba

İşte gerçek gün budur. Dileyen kimse, Rabbine götürecek bir yol benimser.

That is the day of truth. Whoever wills, let them take a way back to their Lord.

Reflection

Al-ḥaqq carries the real as much as the true, so the day is being named the one item in the account that is not hypothetical. Ma'āb, the word for what a person may take toward their Lord, is a place of return, from the root for coming back, which makes the invitation a homecoming rather than a first arrival. The choice is handed over immediately after a scene in which almost no one is permitted to speak.
