وَقِيلَ مَنْ ۜ رَاقٍ
Wa qeela man raaq
Dikkat edin; can boğaza gelip köprücük kemiklerine dayandığı zaman: "Çare bulan yok mudur?" denir.
and it is said, "Who can heal him?"
The mushaf marks a compulsory pause inside this short line, between man and rāqin, one of the few places in the Qur'an where a reader must break the words apart instead of running them together. Readers differ on the word itself: rāqin as one who recites a healing charm, or from the root of ascent, the angel who carries the soul upward. The verb is passive with no speaker named, so the question hangs in the room unattributed.
