مُّحَمَّدٌ رَّسُولُ ٱللَّهِ ۚ وَٱلَّذِينَ مَعَهُۥٓ أَشِدَّآءُ عَلَى ٱلْكُفَّارِ رُحَمَآءُ بَيْنَهُمْ ۖ تَرَىٰهُمْ رُكَّعًا سُجَّدًا يَبْتَغُونَ فَضْلًا مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَرِضْوَٰنًا ۖ سِيمَاهُمْ فِى وُجُوهِهِم مِّنْ أَثَرِ ٱلسُّجُودِ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ مَثَلُهُمْ فِى ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةِ ۚ وَمَثَلُهُمْ فِى ٱلْإِنجِيلِ كَزَرْعٍ أَخْرَجَ شَطْـَٔهُۥ فَـَٔازَرَهُۥ فَٱسْتَغْلَظَ فَٱسْتَوَىٰ عَلَىٰ سُوقِهِۦ يُعْجِبُ ٱلزُّرَّاعَ لِيَغِيظَ بِهِمُ ٱلْكُفَّارَ ۗ وَعَدَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ مِنْهُم مَّغْفِرَةً وَأَجْرًا عَظِيمًۢا
Muhammadur Rasoolul laah; wallazeena ma'ahooo ashiddaaa'u 'alal kuffaaari ruhamaaa'u bainahum taraahum rukka'an sujjadany yabtaghoona fadlam minal laahi wa ridwaanan seemaahum fee wujoohihim min asaris sujood; zaalika masaluhum fit tawraah; wa masaluhum fil Injeeli kazar'in akhraja shat 'ahoo fa 'aazarahoo fastaghlaza fastawaa 'alaa sooqihee yu'jibuz zurraa'a liyagheeza bihimul kuffaar; wa'adal laahul lazeena aamanoo wa 'amilus saalihaati minhum maghfiratanw wa ajran 'azeemaa
Muhammed Allah'ın elçisidir. Onun beraberinde bulunanlar, inkarcılara karşı sert, birbirlerine merhametlidirler. Onları rükua varırken, secde ederken, Allah'tan lütuf ve hoşnudluk dilerken görürsün. Onlar, yüzlerindeki secde izi ile tanınırlar. İşte bu, onların Tevrat'ta anlatılan vasıflarıdır. İncil'de de şöyle vasıflandırılmışlardı: Filizini çıkarmış, onu kuvvetlendirmiş, kalınlaşmış, gövdesi üzerine dikilmiş, ekincilerin hoşuna giden ekin gibidirler. Allah böylece bunları çoğaltıp kuvvetlendirmekle inkarcıları öfkelendirir. Allah, inanıp yararlı işler işleyenlere, bağışlama ve büyük ecir vadetmiştir.
Muhammad is the Messenger of God. Those who are with him are firm against the rejecters, merciful among themselves. You see them bowing, prostrating, seeking bounty from God and his good pleasure. Their mark is on their faces from the trace of prostration. That is their likeness in the Torah, and their likeness in the Gospel is like a seed that sends out its shoot, then strengthens it, then grows thick and stands firm on its stalk, delighting the sowers — so that through them he may enrage the rejecters. God has promised those among them who believe and do righteous deeds forgiveness and a great reward.
Growth is filmed in stages as this surah ends: a seed puts out its shoot, the shoot is braced, thickens, then stands upright on its stalk, four verbs in sequence for what a community does over time. Where the likeness drawn from the Torah stops and the one drawn from the Gospel starts has divided the commentaries from early on, some placing the break ahead of the mark on the faces and some behind it.
