Surah Taha — 20:35

إِنَّكَ كُنتَ بِنَا بَصِيرًا

Innaka kunta binaa baseeraa

Musa: "Rabbim! Göğsümü genişlet, işimi kolaylaştır, dilimin düğümünü çöz ki sözümü iyi anlasınlar. Ailemden kardeşim Harun'u bana vezir yap, beni onunla destekle, onu görevimde ortak kıl ki Seni daha çok tesbih edelim ve çokça analım. Şüphesiz Sen bizi görmektesin" dedi.

Indeed, you have always seen us clearly.

Reflection

The petition closes on a statement rather than another request. Every clause before it was singular, and this line says bi-nā, of us, so Musa speaks for the brother he has just asked to be given him, before any answer has come. Kāna with the participle sets the seeing in a settled past, something continuous behind him rather than a glance in the moment.
