لَّا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْكُمْ إِن طَلَّقْتُمُ ٱلنِّسَآءَ مَا لَمْ تَمَسُّوهُنَّ أَوْ تَفْرِضُوا۟ لَهُنَّ فَرِيضَةً ۚ وَمَتِّعُوهُنَّ عَلَى ٱلْمُوسِعِ قَدَرُهُۥ وَعَلَى ٱلْمُقْتِرِ قَدَرُهُۥ مَتَـٰعًۢا بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ ۖ حَقًّا عَلَى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
Laa junaaha 'alaikum in tallaqtumun nisaaa'a maa lam tamassoohunna aw tafridoo lahunna fareedah; wa matti'oona 'alal moosi'i qadaruhoo wa 'alal muqtiri qadaruhoo matta'am bilma'roofi haqqan 'alalmuhsineen
Kadınlara el sürmeden ve mehirlerini biçmeden onları boşarsanız size sorumluluk yoktur. Onları zengin kendi çapına, fakir kendi çapına uygun bir şekilde faydalandırın. Bu iyi davrananların şanına yakışır bir borçtur.
There is no blame on you if you divorce women before you have touched them or fixed a bridal gift for them. Provide for them fairly — the one of ample means according to his capacity, and the one of limited means according to his — a fitting provision, a duty upon those who do good.
