There is a moment after you have done everything you can, when the result no longer belongs to you. You have made the call, sent the message, sat the exam, prayed the prayer. What remains is the waiting, and the waiting is heavy because you cannot fill it with more effort.
The Qur'an meets you in that exact gap. It asks you to tie your camel and then loosen your grip, to act with all your strength and then hand the ending to the One who holds it already. These verses speak to the part of you that wants to control the future. They offer something steadier than certainty about outcomes: reliance on the One who arranges them.
65:3 — and will provide for them from where they did not expect. Whoever places their trust in God — he is enough for them. Indeed, God brings his purpose to pass; God has set a measure for everything.
3:159 — It was by a mercy from God that you were gentle with them. Had you been harsh and hard of heart, they would have scattered from around you. So pardon them, ask forgiveness for them, and consult them in the matter. Then, once you have resolved, place your trust in God — indeed, God loves those who place their trust in him.
64:11 — No misfortune strikes except by God's permission. Whoever believes in God, he guides their heart. And God knows all things.
9:51 — Say: nothing will befall us except what God has written for us; he is our protector. And in God let the believers place their trust.
11:88 — He said, "My people, consider this: if I stand on clear evidence from my Lord, and he has provided me with good provision from himself, why would I go behind your backs to do what I forbid you? I want only to set things right, as far as I am able. My success rests with God alone — in him I trust, and to him I turn."
25:58 — And trust in the Ever-Living who does not die, and glorify him with praise. Sufficient is he, fully aware of the sins of his servants —
14:12 — And why would we not place our trust in God, when he has guided us along our paths? We will surely endure with patience whatever harm you do to us. In God alone let the trusting place their trust.
67:29 — Say, "He is the Most Merciful; in him we believe, and upon him we rely. You will come to know who is in clear error."
