There comes a quiet hour when the question arrives without warning. You ask why you are here, what any of this adds up to, whether your days carry weight or simply pass. The Qur'an meets that question directly, and it answers with intention rather than accident.
These verses describe a person who was made on purpose, set on the earth to know God and to do some good with the time given. They do not promise an easy assignment. They offer something steadier: the assurance that your life was meant, that it is being seen, and that even a small faithful act counts toward what lasts.
51:56 — I created jinn and humankind only that they might worship me.
67:2 — the one who created death and life to test which of you is best in deed — and he is the Mighty, the Forgiving —
23:115 — Did you think we created you for nothing, and that you would not be returned to us?
3:191 — those who remember God standing, sitting, and lying on their sides, and reflect on the creation of the heavens and the earth: 'Our Lord, you did not create this in vain. Glory be to you — protect us from the punishment of the fire.
2:30 — And when your Lord said to the angels, "I am placing a successor on the earth," they said, "Will you place on it one who will spread corruption there and shed blood, while we glorify your praise and declare your holiness?" God said, "I know what you do not know."
90:4 — Indeed, we created the human being into hardship.
18:7 — Indeed, we have made all that is on the earth an adornment for it, so that we may test them — which of them is best in deed.
16:36 — And we raised up in every community a messenger: "Worship God and shun false powers." Among them were those whom God guided, and among them were those upon whom misguidance took hold. So travel through the earth and see how the deniers met their end.
