Peace arrives less as a destination and more as a quiet that settles over the chest when everything outside stays loud. The Qur'an calls this sakinah, the stillness God sends down onto hearts that have run out of their own strength. It comes to the frightened, the grieving, and the ones lying awake at 3am with a mind that refuses to switch off.
These verses gather the promises God makes to a restless soul. They point toward remembrance as the place where hearts find rest, toward an abode of peace God openly invites us into, and toward the day the tranquil soul is called home. Read them slowly, and let them do what argument cannot.
13:28 — those who believe, and whose hearts find peace in the remembrance of God — truly, in the remembrance of God hearts find peace.
48:4 — It is God who sent down tranquility into the hearts of the believers, so they would grow in faith upon their faith. To God belong the forces of the heavens and the earth, and God is all-knowing, all-wise.
10:25 — And God calls to the abode of peace, and guides whom he wills to a straight path.
6:82 — Those who believe and do not cloud their faith with wrongdoing — for them is security, and they are the rightly guided.
9:40 — If you do not help him, God has already helped him — when those who denied drove him out, the second of two, when the two of them were in the cave, when he said to his companion, "Do not grieve; God is with us." Then God sent down his tranquility upon him and supported him with forces you did not see, and brought the word of those who denied to the lowest, while the word of God is the highest. And God is mighty, wise.
39:22 — Is the one whose heart God has opened to surrender, so that he walks in a light from his Lord, [like one whose heart is closed]? Woe to those whose hearts have hardened against the remembrance of God — they are in clear error.
16:97 — Whoever does good — whether male or female — and is a believer, we will surely grant them a good life, and we will surely reward them according to the best of what they used to do.
