Anxiety rarely knocks politely. It arrives at night, replays the conversation, lists everything that could go wrong, and leaves the heart racing ahead of the body. The Qur'an speaks to that racing heart directly, and it speaks gently. It names the burden, sets a limit on it, and points the worried mind toward the One who already holds what comes next.
The verses gathered here return again and again to a single mercy: that hearts were made to find rest, and that rest has a source. Read them slowly. Let them loosen the grip of the worst-case story you have been telling yourself, and remember that the future you fear is already in hands far kinder than your own.
13:28 — those who believe, and whose hearts find peace in the remembrance of God — truly, in the remembrance of God hearts find peace.
2:286 — God does not burden any soul beyond its capacity. To its credit is what it has earned, and against it is what it has wrought. Our Lord, do not take us to task if we forget or fall into error. Our Lord, do not lay upon us a burden like the one you laid upon those before us. Our Lord, do not burden us with what we have no strength to bear. Pardon us, forgive us, and have mercy on us; you are our Protector, so help us against the people who deny.
65:3 — and will provide for them from where they did not expect. Whoever places their trust in God — he is enough for them. Indeed, God brings his purpose to pass; God has set a measure for everything.
3:139 — Do not lose heart and do not grieve — you are the higher ones, if you are truly believers.
9:40 — If you do not help him, God has already helped him — when those who denied drove him out, the second of two, when the two of them were in the cave, when he said to his companion, "Do not grieve; God is with us." Then God sent down his tranquility upon him and supported him with forces you did not see, and brought the word of those who denied to the lowest, while the word of God is the highest. And God is mighty, wise.
39:53 — Say: my servants who have wronged yourselves through excess, do not despair of God's mercy. God forgives all sins. Indeed, he is the Forgiving, the Merciful.
20:46 — God said, "Do not be afraid. I am with you both — I hear and I see."
