Surah Al-Ma'un — الماعون

Chapter 107 of the Qur'an · “The Small kindnesses” · 7 verses · revealed in Makkah

1. 107:1 أَرَءَيْتَ ٱلَّذِى يُكَذِّبُ بِٱلدِّينِ Have you seen the one who denies the reckoning?
2. 107:2 فَذَٰلِكَ ٱلَّذِى يَدُعُّ ٱلْيَتِيمَ That is the one who drives away the orphan,
3. 107:3 وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ ٱلْمِسْكِينِ and does not urge the feeding of the needy.
4. 107:4 فَوَيْلٌ لِّلْمُصَلِّينَ So woe to those who pray
5. 107:5 ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ عَن صَلَاتِهِمْ سَاهُونَ those who are heedless of their prayer,
6. 107:6 ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ يُرَآءُونَ those who only put on a show,
7. 107:7 وَيَمْنَعُونَ ٱلْمَاعُونَ and withhold even small kindnesses.
