كَلَّآ إِنَّهَا تَذْكِرَةٌ
Kalla innaha tazkirah
Ależ nie! To jest przecież napomnienie;
No indeed — this is a reminder.
This is where the surah turns: the rebuke ends and the subject becomes the revelation itself, along with the scribes described as carrying it. Kallā is a checking particle, used through the short Meccan surahs to cut off a line of thought before it runs on. What follows resets the calculation of the opening scene, since access now depends on whoever wants it rather than on who is worth courting.
