وَإِذْ يَعِدُكُمُ ٱللَّهُ إِحْدَى ٱلطَّآئِفَتَيْنِ أَنَّهَا لَكُمْ وَتَوَدُّونَ أَنَّ غَيْرَ ذَاتِ ٱلشَّوْكَةِ تَكُونُ لَكُمْ وَيُرِيدُ ٱللَّهُ أَن يُحِقَّ ٱلْحَقَّ بِكَلِمَـٰتِهِۦ وَيَقْطَعَ دَابِرَ ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ
Wa iz ya'idukumul laahu ihdat taaa'ifataini annahaa lakum wa tawaddoona anna ghaira zaatish shawkati takoonu lakum wa yureedul laahu ai yuhiqqal haqqa bikalimaatihee wa taqta'a daabiral kaafireen
I kiedy obiecał wam Bóg, iż jeden z dwóch oddziałów wam się podda, pragnęliście, aby to był ten, który nie był uzbrojony. Lecz Bóg chciał utwierdzić prawdę przez Swoje słowa i zniszczyć niewiernych do ostatniego,
And remember when God promised you that one of the two groups would be yours, and you wished it were the unarmed one — but God willed to establish the truth by his words and to cut off the last trace of those who deny.
