Kallaaa izaa balaghatit taraaqee
Ależ nie! Kiedy dusza dojdzie do gardła
No! When it reaches the collarbones,
Arabic can leave a verb's subject unstated, and it does here, so the thing rising to the collarbones goes unnamed while English has to supply a pronoun the original withholds. Kallā cuts in before the sentence begins, breaking off the two sets of faces just described and dropping the surah into a deathbed at close range. What follows keeps to the body: a question about who might cure him, then the recognition that separation has arrived.
