Surah Nuh — 71:7

وَإِنِّى كُلَّمَا دَعَوْتُهُمْ لِتَغْفِرَ لَهُمْ جَعَلُوٓا۟ أَصَـٰبِعَهُمْ فِىٓ ءَاذَانِهِمْ وَٱسْتَغْشَوْا۟ ثِيَابَهُمْ وَأَصَرُّوا۟ وَٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟ ٱسْتِكْبَارًا

Wa inee kullamaa da'awtuhum litaghfira lahum ja'alooo asaabi'ahum fee aazaanihim wastaghshaw siyaabahum wa asaarroo wastakbarus tikbaaraa

Zaprawdę, za każdym razem, kiedy ich wzywałem, abyś Ty im przebaczył, oni wkładali palce do uszu, okrywali się szatami i trwali w uporze, i okazywali niezmierną dumę.

And every time I called them so that you might forgive them, they thrust their fingers into their ears, wrapped themselves in their garments, persisted, and grew arrogant with utter arrogance.
