وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ ٱفْتَرَىٰ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ كَذِبًا أَوْ كَذَّبَ بِـَٔايَـٰتِهِۦٓ ۗ إِنَّهُۥ لَا يُفْلِحُ ٱلظَّـٰلِمُونَ
Wa man azlamu mim manif tara 'alal laahi kaziban aw kazzaba bi Aayaatih; innahoo laa yuflihuz zaalimoon
A kto jest bardziej niesprawiedliwy aniżeli ten, kto wymyśla kłamstwo przeciwko Bogu albo kto za kłamstwo uznaje Nasze znaki? Zaprawdę, niesprawiedliwi nie zaznają szczęścia!
Who does greater wrong than the one who invents a lie against God or denies his signs? The wrongdoers will never succeed.
Man azlamu is a recurring Qur'anic formula, and the comparative works here as an absolute: the question is shaped so that nobody is expected to step forward with a worse case. Both charges it names are illustrated a few lines on, where the deniers swear at the gathering that they never associated anything with God. Inventing about God and denying his signs turn out to be one habit seen from two sides.
