Surah Az-Zukhruf — 43:70

ٱدْخُلُوا۟ ٱلْجَنَّةَ أَنتُمْ وَأَزْوَٰجُكُمْ تُحْبَرُونَ

Udkhulul Jannata antum wa azwaajukum tuhbaroon

Wejdźcie do Ogrodu, wy i wasze żony, będziecie uradowani!"

Enter the garden, you and your spouses, in delight.

Reflection

The passage has just said that friendships built on anything else turn hostile on that day, so the invitation here restores company to the people who kept it rightly. Azwāj covers a spouse and also a matched companion, and commentators read the promise both ways. Tuḥbarūn comes from a root for joy that shows on the face, which is why translators reach for delight, radiance, or being made glad.
