فَأَمَّا عَادٌ فَٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ ٱلْحَقِّ وَقَالُوا۟ مَنْ أَشَدُّ مِنَّا قُوَّةً ۖ أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَهُمْ هُوَ أَشَدُّ مِنْهُمْ قُوَّةً ۖ وَكَانُوا۟ بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا يَجْحَدُونَ
Fa ammaa 'Aadun fastak baroo fil ardi bighairul haqqi wa qaaloo man ashaddu minnaa quwwatan awalam yaraw annal laahal lazee khalaqahum Huwa ashaddu minhum quwwatanw wa kaanoo bi Aayaatinaa yajhadoon
A jeśli chodzi o lud Ad, to oni bezprawnie wbili się w dumę na ziemi i powiedzieli: "Któż ma więcej od nas siły?" Czyż oni nie widzieli, że Bóg, który ich stworzył, ma potężniejszą od nich moc? I oni odrzucali Nasze znaki.
As for ʿAd, they grew arrogant in the land without right and said, "Who is greater than us in strength?" Did they not see that God, who created them, is greater than them in strength? And they kept rejecting our signs.
