وَجَعَلَ فِيهَا رَوَٰسِىَ مِن فَوْقِهَا وَبَـٰرَكَ فِيهَا وَقَدَّرَ فِيهَآ أَقْوَٰتَهَا فِىٓ أَرْبَعَةِ أَيَّامٍ سَوَآءً لِّلسَّآئِلِينَ
Wa ja'ala feehaa rawaa siya min fawqihaa wa baaraka feehaa wa qaddara feehaaaa aqwaatahaa feee arba'ati ayyaamin sawaaa'al lissaaa'ileen
On umieścił na niej solidnie stojące, wznoszące się nad nią, i pobłogosławił ją. Porozdzielał na niej środki żywności w ciągu czterech dni, równo dla wszystkich proszących.
And he set firm mountains upon it, and blessed it, and measured out its provisions within it in four days, equal for all who ask.
Counted against the neighbouring verses, the days seem to total eight: two for the earth, four here, two for the heavens, against the six given elsewhere. Commentators resolved it by taking the four as a running total that includes the earlier pair, leaving the mountains and provisions days three and four. The closing phrase has two readings as well: provision laid out evenly for all who seek it, or an exact answer for anyone asking how long.
