وَٱبْتَلُوا۟ ٱلْيَتَـٰمَىٰ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا بَلَغُوا۟ ٱلنِّكَاحَ فَإِنْ ءَانَسْتُم مِّنْهُمْ رُشْدًا فَٱدْفَعُوٓا۟ إِلَيْهِمْ أَمْوَٰلَهُمْ ۖ وَلَا تَأْكُلُوهَآ إِسْرَافًا وَبِدَارًا أَن يَكْبَرُوا۟ ۚ وَمَن كَانَ غَنِيًّا فَلْيَسْتَعْفِفْ ۖ وَمَن كَانَ فَقِيرًا فَلْيَأْكُلْ بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ ۚ فَإِذَا دَفَعْتُمْ إِلَيْهِمْ أَمْوَٰلَهُمْ فَأَشْهِدُوا۟ عَلَيْهِمْ ۚ وَكَفَىٰ بِٱللَّهِ حَسِيبًا
Wabtalul yataamaa hattaaa izaa balaghun nikaaha fa in aanastum minhum rushdan fad fa'ooo ilaihim amwaalahum wa laa taa kuloohaaa israafanw wa bidaaran ai yakbaroo; wa mai kaana ghaniyyan falyasta' fif wa mai kaana faqeeran falyaakul bilma'roof; fa izaa dafa'tum ilaihim amwaalahum fa'ashhidoo 'alaihim; wa kafaa billaahi Haseeba
Doświadczajcie sieroty, aż osiągną wiek do małżeństwa. A jeśli zauważycie w nich dojrzałość sądu, oddajcie im ich dobra! I nie zjadajcie ich dóbr rozrzutnie i pośpiesznie, zanim one osiągną wiek dojrzały. Ten, kto jest bogaty, niech się powstrzyma wspaniałomyślnie, a ten, kto jest biedny, niech zjada w sposób odpowiedni. A kiedy oddajecie im ich dobra, to wezwijcie świadków. A Bóg wystarczy jako przyjmujący rachunek!
Test the orphans until they reach the age of marriage. Then, if you find in them sound judgment, hand over their wealth to them. Do not consume it wastefully and in haste before they grow up. Whoever is well-off should abstain; and whoever is poor may take only what is fair. When you hand over their wealth to them, have it witnessed against them — and God is sufficient as a reckoner.
