سَنُلْقِى فِى قُلُوبِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ ٱلرُّعْبَ بِمَآ أَشْرَكُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ مَا لَمْ يُنَزِّلْ بِهِۦ سُلْطَـٰنًا ۖ وَمَأْوَىٰهُمُ ٱلنَّارُ ۚ وَبِئْسَ مَثْوَى ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ
Sanulqee fee quloobil lazeena kafarur ru'ba bimaaa ashrakoo billaahi maa lam yunazzil bihee sultaana-nw wa maawaahumun Naar; wa bi'sa maswaz zaalimeen
My wrzucimy w serca tych, którzy nie uwierzyli, przerażenie za to, iż oni dodawali Bogu jako współtowarzyszy to, czemu On nie zesłał żadnej władzy. Ich miejscem schronienia będzie ogień. A jakże złe to miejsce pobytu dla niesprawiedliwych!
Into the hearts of those who deny, we will cast terror, because they ascribed partners to God for which he sent down no authority. Their refuge is the fire — a wretched dwelling for the wrongdoers.
Casting is the verb, and this future form of it turns up twice altogether: here, and at 73:5, where a weighty word is cast onto the Prophet. What is promised takes effect inside people who are not present to hear the promise. Its placement carries weight: the reassurance is given just before verse 152 begins the Qur'an's own account of how Uhud went wrong.
