شَهْرُ رَمَضَانَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أُنزِلَ فِيهِ ٱلْقُرْءَانُ هُدًى لِّلنَّاسِ وَبَيِّنَـٰتٍ مِّنَ ٱلْهُدَىٰ وَٱلْفُرْقَانِ ۚ فَمَن شَهِدَ مِنكُمُ ٱلشَّهْرَ فَلْيَصُمْهُ ۖ وَمَن كَانَ مَرِيضًا أَوْ عَلَىٰ سَفَرٍ فَعِدَّةٌ مِّنْ أَيَّامٍ أُخَرَ ۗ يُرِيدُ ٱللَّهُ بِكُمُ ٱلْيُسْرَ وَلَا يُرِيدُ بِكُمُ ٱلْعُسْرَ وَلِتُكْمِلُوا۟ ٱلْعِدَّةَ وَلِتُكَبِّرُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ مَا هَدَىٰكُمْ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ
Shahru Ramadaanallazeee unzila feehil Qur'aanu hudal linnaasi wa baiyinaatim minal hudaa wal furqaan; faman shahida minkumush shahra falyasumhu wa man kaana mareedan aw 'alaa safarin fa'iddatum min ayyaamin ukhar; yureedul laahu bikumul yusra wa laa yureedu bikumul 'usra wa litukmilul 'iddata wa litukabbirul laaha 'alaa maa hadaakum wa la'allakum tashkuroon
To jest miesiąc ramadan, w którym został zesłany Koran - droga prosta dla ludzi i jasne dowody drogi prostej, i rozróżnienie. Kogo z was zastanie ten miesiąc, to niech pości w tym czasie. A ten, kto jest chory lub w podróży, to przez pewną liczbę innych dni. Bóg chce dać wam ulgę, a nie chce dla was utrudnienia; chce, żebyście dopełnili tę liczbę i żebyście głosili wielkość Boga za to, że On poprowadził was drogą prostą. Być może, będziecie wdzięczni!
The month of Ramadan is the month in which the Qur'an was sent down — guidance for humankind, clear signs of that guidance, and the criterion. So whoever among you witnesses the month, let them fast it; and whoever is ill or on a journey, then a number of other days. God intends ease for you and does not intend hardship for you, so that you may complete the count and magnify God for having guided you, and so that you may be grateful.
