وَإِذَآ أَرَدْنَآ أَن نُّهْلِكَ قَرْيَةً أَمَرْنَا مُتْرَفِيهَا فَفَسَقُوا۟ فِيهَا فَحَقَّ عَلَيْهَا ٱلْقَوْلُ فَدَمَّرْنَـٰهَا تَدْمِيرًا
Wa izaaa aradnaaa an nuhlika qaryatan amarnaa mutrafeehaa fafasaqoo feehaa fahaqqa 'alaihal qawlu fadammarnaahaa tadmeeraa
A kiedy chcemy zgubić jakieś miasto, to nakazujemy jego mieszkańcom żyjącym w dobrobycie, aby oddawali się tam rozpuście. Wtedy sprawdza się nad nim słowo i niszczymy je całkowicie.
When we intend to destroy a town, we command those of its people who live in ease, but they transgress within it, and the word against it comes due, and we destroy it utterly.
