يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ إِنَّمَا ٱلْمُشْرِكُونَ نَجَسٌ فَلَا يَقْرَبُوا۟ ٱلْمَسْجِدَ ٱلْحَرَامَ بَعْدَ عَامِهِمْ هَـٰذَا ۚ وَإِنْ خِفْتُمْ عَيْلَةً فَسَوْفَ يُغْنِيكُمُ ٱللَّهُ مِن فَضْلِهِۦٓ إِن شَآءَ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ
Yaaa aiyuhal lazeena aamanooo innamal mushrikoona najasun falaa yaqrabul Masjidal Haraama ba'da 'aamihim haaza; wa in khiftum 'ailatan fasawfa yughnee kumul laahu min fadliheee in shaaa'; innallaaha 'Aleemun hakeem
Hai orang-orang yang beriman, sesungguhnya orang-orang yang musyrik itu najis, maka janganlah mereka mendekati Masjidil Haram sesudah tahun ini. Dan jika kamu khawatir menjadi miskin, maka Allah nanti akan memberikan kekayaan kepadamu dari karunia-Nya, jika Dia menghendaki. Sesungguhnya Allah Maha Mengetahui lagi Maha Bijaksana.
O you who believe, those who associate others with God are truly unclean, so let them not approach the Sacred Mosque after this year of theirs. And if you fear poverty, God will enrich you from his bounty, if he wills. Indeed, God is all-knowing, all-wise.

Commentators divided over the word najas, some reading it as a bodily condition and others as a description of the state of associating partners with God, and the tradition never settled on one voice.
