فَذَاقَتْ وَبَالَ أَمْرِهَا وَكَانَ عَـٰقِبَةُ أَمْرِهَا خُسْرًا
Fazaaqat wabbala amrihaa wa kaana 'aaqibatu amrihaa khusraa
to make them taste the ill effect of their conduct- the result of their conduct was ruin.
So they tasted the bitter consequence of their conduct, and the end of their affair was loss.
