قُلْ إِنَّمَآ أَنَا۠ مُنذِرٌ ۖ وَمَا مِنْ إِلَـٰهٍ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ ٱلْوَٰحِدُ ٱلْقَهَّارُ
Qul innamaaa ana munzirunw wa maa min ilaahim illal laahul Waahidul Qahhaar
[Prophet] say, ‘I am only here to give warning. There is no god but God the One, the All Powerful,
Say, "I am only a warner. There is no god but God, the One, the Subduer,
The command to speak breaks into an overheard quarrel: those in the fire have been disputing who is missing from among them, and the surah cuts from that scene straight to a man in Mecca given one sentence to say. Mundhir is the narrowest job description a messenger gets, one who warns of something ahead, and here the Prophet is the one made to say it of himself.
