وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ بِـَٔايَـٰتِ ٱللَّهِ وَلِقَآئِهِۦٓ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ يَئِسُوا۟ مِن رَّحْمَتِى وَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ
Wallazeena kafaroo bi Aayaatil laahi wa liqaaa'iheee ulaaa'ika ya'isoo mir rahmatee wa ulaaa'ika lahum 'azaabun aleem
Those who deny God’s Revelation and their meeting with Him have no hope of receiving My grace: they will have a grievous torment.
Those who deny the signs of God and the meeting with him — they have despaired of my mercy, and for them is a painful punishment.
The pronoun turns mid-verse. God is spoken of in the third person all through this passage, and then mercy is claimed in the first person, one phrase in which God speaks directly before the sentence closes again. The verse also sits inside the story of Ibrahim, breaking into it as a general verdict before verse 24 returns to his people and their fire.
