Surah Ash-Shu'ara — 26:193

نَزَلَ بِهِ ٱلرُّوحُ ٱلْأَمِينُ

Nazala bihir Roohul Ameen

the Trustworthy Spirit brought it down

Reflection

Naming the carrier settles a dispute about the channel rather than the content, and Ash-Shuʿarāʾ closes by ruling out the rival one with the same verb, denying that the devils descended with anything. Amīn is the adjective for someone a deposit can be left with, so the descent is described as a delivery that arrives unaltered. The Qur'an calls Jibril by this title only here.
