وَلَقَدْ أَخَذْنَـٰهُم بِٱلْعَذَابِ فَمَا ٱسْتَكَانُوا۟ لِرَبِّهِمْ وَمَا يَتَضَرَّعُونَ
Wa laqad akhaznaahum bil'azaabi famastakaanoo li Rabbihim wa maa yatadarra'oon
We have already afflicted them, yet they did not submit to their Lord: they will not humble themselves
And we seized them with punishment, yet they did not yield to their Lord, nor did they humble themselves in prayer.
